Nestled between the foothills of the Apennines and the Adriatic coast, the Abruzzo region is one of Italy’s most mountainous areas. The region’s altitude not only gives the hillside vineyards the perfect amount of exposure to the sun but also ventilation from the cool, dry sea breeze of the Adriatic. This specific climate gives rise to a wine that boasts full, red fruit flavours, rich from the sun, but also light, velvety tannins that give the wine great structure.
 
Tasting Notes
Sea Change Montepulciano D’Abruzzo manages to be both easy drinking and full of flavour. Hints of cherry and raspberry are intertwined with cinnamon and smoky spice. The delicate tannins help give the wine a smooth mouthfeel coupled with gentle acidity, perfect for numerous food pairings. This truly is a wine that can be enjoyed by both those who love their complex reds or those who simply want an enjoyable, approachable summer red. Perfect on its own as a winter warmer or to accompany dishes from all seasons.

Sea Change Montepulciano D’Abruzzo is ideal with casseroles, barbeques, and other roasted dishes. It also matches wonderfully with rich chocolate desserts.
 
When to drink
Our Sea Change Montepulciano D’Abruzzo can be enjoyed at room temperature or even gently chilled.  Whilst it has the potential to age a year or so, we would recommend that it is drunk while still relatively young.
