Bread Ordering

We're delighted to offer the finest bread from Holy Grain Sourdough Bakery, a small, independent bakery based in Manchester City Centre. Specialising in naturally-leavened bread made with only organic ingredients, every loaf is handmade and slowly fermented over two days for maximum flavour, digestibility, and nutrition.

Bread is available to pre-order for in-store collection or home delivery, with a limited selection also available to buy in store without pre-ordering — though stock is very small, so we strongly recommend ordering in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note that some products are only available for Friday collection and cannot be delivered; if you'd like to special-order one of these, just get in touch.

To place an order, head to the bread section of the shop, choose your loaf, select your preferred collection or delivery date, and checkout as normal.

Order deadlines: For Tuesday–Thursday collections and all deliveries, orders must be placed by midnight on the Sunday before. For Saturday–Monday collections, orders must be placed by midnight on the Tuesday before.

Collection: We receive bread deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays, but if you can't collect on those days we'll keep your bread sealed until you can. Collections are available 11am–5:30pm on Tuesdays & Fridays, and 9am–5:30pm on all other days. If you need to collect after 5:30pm, please contact the store first.

Delivery: We deliver on Wednesdays and Thursdays depending on your postcode — see the Doorstep Delivery page for full details. There is a minimum order value of £10 for delivery (no minimum for collection). If you'd like to order bread separately before placing the rest of your order, simply select store collection at checkout — we'll add your bread to your main order when it comes through. Please note that if your bread-only order is under £10 and you don't add to it, it will not be delivered and you'll need to collect from the store.

Subscriptions: We also offer a subscription service for weekly or fortnightly bread, either for collection or delivery. You'll be charged automatically and your bread will be ready on your chosen delivery day. Subscriptions currently require payment via PayPal. You can cancel at any time with 5 days' notice — please note it's not currently possible to pause a subscription.
