Winner of a 2023 Taste of the West Gold Award, our organic Chai is bold, aromatic, and effortlessly soothing. It starts with a strong base of Chardwar TGFOP1 Assam, layered with cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom for warmth and depth. Orange peel adds a gentle citrus lift, making this blend both comforting and refreshing. All our teas are organic, plastic-free, and hand-blended in Devon.
Tasting Notes: Rich and spiced, but never overpowering. The malty Assam provides a solid, full-bodied foundation with naturally sweet undertones. Warm notes of cinnamon and ginger unfold gently, while crushed green cardamom adds subtle complexity and a slightly floral edge. The orange peel is a game changer — brightening the blend and adding a delicate sparkle that lingers on the palate. Invigorating enough for morning, cosy enough for late evening.
How to Brew: One heaped teaspoon per cup, freshly boiled water at 100°C, steep for 4–5 minutes. Exceptional brewed strong with milk — or try the traditional way: simmer with milk and a little honey for a proper masala chai experience. Also wonderful black for a lighter, spicier cup.
