Our Pearl Barley is barley that has been processed to remove its fibrous outer hull and polished to create a smooth, pearlescent grain that swells beautifully as it cooks, releasing a natural starchiness that thickens and enriches soups, stews, and broths.

Add to Scotch broth, beef stew, or vegetable soup for a thick, hearty result, cook risotto-style with stock and parmesan for a comforting barley risotto, or use in grain salads and pilafs for a satisfying, chewy texture.

Price stated is per 100g if you would like more than 100g please select quantities in multiples of 100. For example for 500g select a quantity of 5. All food is supplied in recycled paper bags. Some food items contain natural oils which may be absorbed by the brown paper bags. These food items may be packaged in different bags or will be double bagged to prevent natural oils seeping through onto other items; however, this may still occur. Before dispensing, all our refill food is stored in airtight containers. We recommend putting your dried food items in airtight or semi airtight containers to retain freshness.
